Water: Somewhat drought tolerant, prefers regular moisture, does not tolerate overwatering
Hardiness: Summer crop, extremely frost intolerant, plant well after last chance of frost
Spacing: 1' between plants, 1- 1.5' between rows

Soil notes: Well-draining, rich garden soil, compost amendment beneficial.                                                                                              Fruit:Small, hot, bi-color, cone-shaped, mature from green with white stripes to orange, and then to red.

Notes: Carribbean pepper arrived to the U.S. in the late 1800s, used to flavor seafood by black culinary communities in the mid-Atlantic, including Baltimore and Philadelphia.
