Shopping Hours & How to Get Your Order

Effective Spring 2026, the Welcome Center and plant nursery are open for shopping and order pickup Thursdays–Mondays, 9:30am–4:30pm. Plants and other merchandise may not be picked up on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

• How do I get my online order? You will receive an email when your order is ready for pickup at the Welcome Center at Bartram's Garden: orders take 1–2 weeks to fulfill. Plants cannot be shipped. 
• Can I pay online and take my order with me if the Welcome Center is closed? No, please don't do this. Place your order online and wait to receive an email that your order is ready for pickup. Please note that the plant display and other areas are under video surveillance.
• Can I shop in person? Yes, shop for plants, gifts, art, and Bartram's Garden merchandise during the Welcome Center's open hours, Thursdays–Mondays, 9:30am–4:30pm.
• Where do I pick up my online order? Pick up your order at the Welcome Center during open hours, Thursdays–Mondays, 9:30am–4:30pm. Depending on the contents of your order, your purchase may be waiting for you indoors at the Welcome Center or in the plant display outside. The Garden is located at 5400 Lindbergh Boulevard in Philadelphia and is easily accessible via public transit, bike, and car. Free parking for cars and bikes is available onsite. • Why isn't the Welcome Center open at other times? Owing to financial constraints, we made the difficult decision to limit Welcome Center hours during the 2026 season. Bartram's Garden is operated by a non-profit that relies on donations for more than 90% of the annual budget. Consider adding a donation to your purchase or joining the Garden as a member to help support this free public space for everyone.
