Water: Somewhat drought tolerant, prefers regular moisture, does not tolerate overwatering
Hardiness: Summer crop, extremely frost intolerant, plant well after last chance of frost
Spacing: 1- 1.5' between plants, 1.5- 2' between rows
Days to maturity: 70- 80
Soil notes: Well-draining, rich garden soil, compost amendment beneficial.
Fruit: Short, conical, sweet, thick-fleshed, prolific even in northern climates, excellent raw and cooked.
Notes: Descendant of original pimiento varieties native to Central and South America, one of many varieties that were developed in Europe over many years after introduction. This particular variety is thought to have been developed in Hungary.
