Culture notes: Stunning perennial and self-seeding culinary and medicinal herb is great mixed into the herb or flower garden. Growing to 4’-5’, with dark, lacy foliage and summertime umbel flowers of golden yellow. Prized by butterflies, a host plant for Eastern Black Swallowtail, anise flavored seeds are formed on the central stalk and are wonderfully soothing to an upset stomach. The licorice tasting leaves are a wonderful addition to fish dishes and salads all summer long. Seeds are easy to sow directly once danger of frost is past or inside 4-6 weeks before frost. Plant ½" deep in 70°F soil.
