About the Maker: In 2014, April Burks (founder and CEO) made a necktie for her husband, Jimmy Burks and his business partners for an upcoming event. They received so many compliments and people began asking did she sell her handmade ties. After people continued asking about the ties, April decided to give it a shot! And that's how The Pink Lapel was born. 6 years later, we have been featured in Philadelphia Magazine's Best of Philly 2020 Issue and our line includes many items in addition to handmade ties. April runs the shop alongside her husband, Jimmy.
