Culture notes: Perennial herb, fragrant, covered in purple flowers for months, June through frost. Wonderful nectar plant for many bees and butterflies. Self-sows prolifically. Leaves and flowers can be used fresh or dry for a licorice flavored, medicinal tea. Very easy from seed.
