About the Artist: Vivien received an MFA in Fibers and Material Studies from the Tyler School of Art in 2020, and a BFA in Fibers from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2014. Originally from Chicago, she is an avid quilter, bicyclist, and lover of breakfast. In her art practice, she centers materiality, community, and environment.

About the Zine: A guide to going on dates with people to trees in Philadelphia, PA. What is our social relationship to plants? Can we create a feeling of belonging within a landscape? Tree Dates provide an opportunity to learn about and explore a connection to the land and increase knowledge of and appreciation for Philadelphia trees. I hope it provides an opportunity for you to investigate your own personal relationships (both platonic and romantic), learn a bit about trees, and just have a fun and weird time.
